After a two hour bus ride we finally arrived in Florence. Walking down several streets we finally reached the Plaza del Duomo where the Cathedral, Bell Tower and Baptistry share the same square.
We also stopped in the Piazza della Signora, the city’s largest square where we were able to view an exact copy of Michelangelo’s David and the Loggia dei Lanza.
The Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge), the only bridge left after World War II is now a famous area containing expensive jewelry shops.
Inside of the Church of Santa Croce, we experienced the 14th century interior...
... and saw the tombs of Galileo and Michelangelo.
