Today (or was it yesterday?) we landed in Barcelona, Spain. After checking in on the ship we caught a bus to the old area and took a few pictures. Overlooking the harbor was the riveting statue of Christopher Columbus.
And entering La Rambla were all these circles...
And as we sailed into the sunset the three cousins, retired teachers, smiled for the camera.

Hi Everybody! It's me Karyn. Green with envy!! Funny, I was wondering if you all would see that Harbor building with the beautiful facade and arches right there in front of the ocean. Paul and were just there on the steps about 1 1/2 months ago! We ate a sandwich and drank our bottled water. I remember looking over to the right and seeing all the huge cruise ships in the harbor! Wow--and you all got to walk onto one and cruise off! Nice!!
Have you had the ship's chocolate night yet??!! Yum! Maybe they have some "chocolate and churros" for breakfast someplace on the ship too. I highly recommend the Spanish morning chocolate drink. It is like drinking warm chocolate pudding and then you dunk these crispy pastery things in it! Delicious!! But don't ever eat/drink it at night. You'll never get to sleep.
You all look terrific in your picture too. So by now I guess you must have gone to Nice? Can't wait to read/see more.
As for my mom, well, she seems some better, but had to go off one of her pain meds--it made her hallucinate!! She saw a couple with a kid in the living room and then vultures in her jewelry armoire in her bedroom. She made Duane come over to investigate the vultures! He assured her she was hallucinating and she managed to accept it and went to sleep--without that madication. She told me about all this on the phone today and was laughing about it. She is amazing. I think they would have had to peel me off the wall if that happened to me.
Talked to Marty earlier today and the hockey team won their game yesterday and he played almost the whole game so he was quite thrilled. Also, his grades are very good so far. We are thrilled!
Next Friday we are planning to drive up to Syracuse for his game. We'll spend the night and then drive home the next morning. We'll have dinner or breakfast with Marty at some point. Then on Sunday I'm flying down to CC until Friday to be with mom. It's our fall break at VU.
OK, keep enjoying yourselves and I hope you have more time for blogging!!
Much love to all,
Karyn
